Job For A Cowboy est un groupe de Death Metal américain formé à Glendale en Arizona en 2003. Il ont sorti leur deuxième EP, Doom, en 2005, et la même année ils ont signé chez Metal Blade. Leur premier album officiel, Genesis, est sorti en 2007 et a été à la 54ème place du Billboard 200 et a étét vendu à 13 000 exemplaires en une semaine. Job for a Cowboy a commencé comme un groupe de Deathcore, et a évolué par la suite à un son dominé par le Death Metal sur leur premier album, Genesis. Leurs influences incluent beaucoup de formations de Metal Extrème, comme Decapited, Mastodon ou Nile, aussi bien que des groupes de Rock comme Every Time I Die, Muse ou la chanteuse Björk. Le groupe a joué à plusieurs festivals, comme le Download Festival, le Sounds od the Underground ou le Waken Open Air. Le groupe est actuellement composé du chanteur Jonny Davy, des guitaristes Al Glassman et Bobby Thompson, du bassiste Brent Riggs et du batteur Jon Rice.
