The Revelaires are a quartet that keeps the instrumental surf music tradition alive. Real guitarmusic with references to heroes like the Ventures, Dick Dale, the Surfaris, Link Wray and Henry Mancini! Lovers of twang, rumble, surf, spy and space get what they desire from the Revelaires. All the musicians in the Revelaires are also part of the Whodads, the 'Legendary Surf music Orchestra'(sic), a big band that integrates all kinds of exotic influences. Check out their releases on Kinky Star Records.The Revelaires' first e.p. 'In Orbit' was released in 1999, and showed their love for sci-fi and western movie scores. Well received by fans and critics alike, 'In Orbit' created high expectations for a full lenght album. High Tide' was recorded after a short but successful Swiss tour in januari 2001, a whirlwind of 15 short and powerful selections from their set, some classics, some really obscure, and always well under the 3'00 limit. A tidal wave of guitar pleasure that will knock you off your boards!
