Vanna se forme en Décembre 2004 avec Evan et Nick qui enregistrèrent leur premier démo dans une chambre à MassArt. Peut après, les deux amis recrutent le batteur Brandon Davis (qui jouait en même temps en compagnie de Therefore I Am) et le bassiste Shawn Marquis. Joe Bragel conclu le tout en prenant le chant. Vanna enregistre alors This Will Be Out Little Secret. Cet EP est sorti le 15 Novembre, le groupe signe chez Epitaph par la suite. Courant 2006, ils sortent un split Vinyl en compagnie de Therefore I Am où seulement 500 copies ont été pressées. L'enregistrement du premier EP chez Epitaph peut enfin commencer. The Search Party Never Came débute en Février 2006, Joe décide de quitter le groupe lors de cet enregistrement, Nick et Evan sont contraints d'officier le chant sur tout cet EP. Chris Preece les rejoint au chant peu après. Curses, le premier album du combo, est sorti fin Avril 2007
