Radiating a full spectrum of colors, Taru, the vocalist of the popular trio band The Melody, presents her first solo album entitled R.A.I.N.B.O.W. In what is to become the first installment of a three-part mini album series, R.A.I.N.B.O.W fills itself with the electrifying sounds of electronica and boasts a featured artist lineup that includes guitar pop band Swinging Popsicle and popular electronica band Sentimental Synery. Taru has already built a formidable reputation for herself through her impeccable display of music craftsmanship as the vocalist of The Melody. This time, she branches out to lyric writing, adding personal touches to her songs as well as demonstrating her potential as an all-around musician. Moreover, she broadens her horizons by collaborating with international artists such as Swinging Popsicle, a fresh force in the current Japanese live music scene, and Sentimental Synery. Written exclusively for Taru by Swinging Popsicle, Yesterday (Track 1) doles out a sweeping melody that highlights Taru's multi-dimensional sound. Other highlights include the album's principle track Love Today (Track 3), which was written by Sentimental Synery, and Oh! Dashi (Oh! Again - Track 4) which features newcomer U, better known as the son of trot king Sul Woon Do. (Source : YesAsia)
