Ari Hest (né le 16 Juin 1979) est un Américain chanteur-compositeur-interprète et un natif de Riverdale dans le Bronx arrondissement de New-York. Sous son label indépendant, l'artiste a sorti un EP ainsi que 2 albums auto-produits, vendus à 20 000 ex chacun. Il a ensuite signé chez Columbia, son 6ème opus intitulé The Fire Plays est sorti en novembre 2012. Ari a également collaboré avec la chanteuse Rosi Golan, ils ont ensemble sorti l'EP Little Apple sous le pseudonyme The Open Sea en 2010,
