Crash Course in Science
Avec leur nom tout droit sorti d'un roman de Ballard, Crash Course in Science ont marqué d'une pierre bruitiste l'histoire de la new-wave. Venus de la scène post-punk de Philadelphie, Feliciello, Mallory Yago et Michael Zodorozny inventent la synth-wave en 79 en intégrant jouets, batterie de cuisine et boites à rythmes distordues à leur premier single « Cakes in the home ». Depuis 1981, leur album « Signal from Pier Thirteen » et les cultissimes « Cardboard Lamb » ou « Kitchen Motors », ils ont continué à pratiquer leur new-wave industrielle sans concessions, jusqu'à remplir d'inédits indispensables le coffret sorti en 2010 sur Vinyl On Demand. Visionnaires et avant-gardistes, ils ont ouvert pour le Philip Glass Ensemble, et se sont vus remixés par Vitalic et David Carretta.
