Magicrays
Following the success of their previous albums Take Me Home and On The Shoreline, the quintet from Lausanne, Switzerland, magicrays returns the front of the music scene by revealing a new album Off The Map which has class! After the American desert experience, magicrays found itself in the sea sprays of the town of Bristol, England. At the Toybox Studio, the band renewed its collaboration with the producer and brilliant multi-instrumentalist John Parish (PJ Harvey, Eels, Dominique A, Sparklehorse). In his homeland, he opened the door to his treasures, vintage instruments and other rare analogical effects. The sound of the album is determinedly more intimate and dense, as well as being more present and rock. The voice, always so majestic, together with the heady mysterious melodies, finds its place with emotion. The complicity born between the band and its producer has intensified throughout the eleven titles of well-defined identity. For fans of Wilco, Midlake…
