Perry Como (Pierino Ronald Como), né à Canonsburg, Pennsylvanie, le 18 mai 1912, décédé le 12 mai 2001, fut un chanteur, un acteur et un présentateur de télévision italo-americain. Ses parents, Pietro Como et Lucia Travaglini Como étaient des immigrants originaires de Palena en Italie. Après avoir travaillé dans un salon de coiffure et même, après avoir monté son propre salon de coiffure, Perry Como commence une carrière professionnelle de chanteur en 1933 et, la même année, se marie à Roselle Belline, qui décèdera en 1998 après soixante-cinq ans de mariage. Il fera parti de cette génération de grands chanteurs américains d'origine italienne au même titre que Franck Sinatra ou Frankie Laine.
