Pin-Up Went Down

Le muti-instrumentiste Alexis Damien (ex-Carnival In Coal) et Asphodel (Penumbra / chant et textes) sont les initiateurs de ce projet expérimental de Rouen, dont les arguments sont pluriels : lyrisme, dynamisme au programme. Réjouissant, en un mot, sans parler de l’intelligence qu’il a fallu déployer pour parvenir à pareil pictogramme sonore. "2 Unlimited" est une mixture incorporant des éléments très divers ; un son hétérogène, dont le Metal n’est qu’un des éléments sources. A vrai dire, Pin-Up Went Down reste davantage, vu d’ici et par essence, une mise en perspective de la folie en musique qu’un projet apparenté au Metal. Nous n’irions pas non plus contester les faits : il reste par la nature de certains de ses choix, connecté au Metal. Simplement, son puzzle musical, ultra-mélodique, groovy, poppy parfois et très souvent et élancé (le très coquin "Pussy Worship") compose une l’image dont certains pans sont sévères. Le groupe s'est produit à Lyon en Septembre 2009 aux H'elles on stage II avec Kells. Le nouvel album "342" est sorti en juin 2010 et a été très bien accueilli par les fans et la presse. A noter un article dans le prestigieux Classic Rock Magazine (UK), de très bonnes reviews dans Hard Rock Mag, Metallian, Violent Solutions, etc... Le groupe se consacre à l'écriture de son album III : PERFREAKTION !!!!
