Born in 1982, February the 10th in French Guyana, Profa started sooner his musical career path with the Sound System of Cayenne (capital of French Guyana). He was only 4, when he made his first appearance in this group of his hometown from Cayenne. At 8, the leaders of the scene who will give him the name of Professor Adhams (Prof-A) will bring him recognition at last. In 1995, aged of 12, he’s considered as the most skilled artist in town and opened for leading French act such as MC solar, Passy...The same year, he made a pair with another famous and talented artist named Amadeus. This is the birth of his group project which is called “Original bad boys of Chicago” neighbourhood in Cayenne), O.B.B.C. The pair will become a 4 members group called 333 2 NEGRO KRU. They will compose many underground tittles, and among them: “Boulé ca” in 1998, and also a video clip. Two years later, he ended his studies. He was 18. To assuage his desires and dreams, he decided to go all over Europe in order to mix with the best among hip hop and dancehall. For 4 years, he will run, with his group, around France and also several European countries. In 2004, he expatriates to London. During this time, he will absorb the English know-how and vibes to expand his talent. One year after, he moved in Paris. He made a name with this following title: « NOU JA FE BON CHIMIN » through The Spiritual House Compilation. The song, broadcast in Guyana, will hit the top for 20 consecutive weeks. The public award him the surname of « THE PRINCE OF YANA ». The same year, he’ll sign for the independent label Mental Records. This, will permit him to work with international artists, such as, Havoc « Mobb deep » Steev Awston, Scot Stortch and Teflon. Mental Rekordz will release a 8 song Street album (see me tune), mixed by Dj Battle, elected official best Dj of the year 2008, and hosted by Lion Scot. This US connection allows Profa to meet and work with producers such as Havoc, Scott Storch, Teflon, Alchemist, and Steev Awston…in NYC & Miami. His music reached another level and gave him the opportunity in 2007, to work on a 3 album project concept. The first was a hip hop/reggae one, where he showed his skill rap, the second was a reggae/R&B one, influenced album highlighting his singing gift, and at last, the third one: a Creole set dedicated to his Guyana homeland and markets such as Guadeloupe, Martinique or Reunion Island…; In 2008, as he’s finishing is project, he too...
