Complot have changed with a deliberate desire to shatter an image. Even the notion of them being an elitist band is a misinterpretation for for such an open group. In fact the role of Complot is not to create a rigid world but to open up and accept the confrontation of different worlds, generating new emotions. At the heart of the group is Paolo C. Uccello and Nikolai Ada, two extravagant characters, multi-creators and art lovers in general (which explains the name of their label Rrose Selavy, which is a tribute to Marcel Duchamp). L’ensemble s’est formé à Rennes en 1981. D’emblée COMPLOT affirmait sa singularité : travailler la relation des sons et de l’image, retrouver la tradition bruitiste et les racines futuristes des musiques actuelles, imaginer et mettre en scène des spectacles pour transformer le concert en performance, la scène en plateau de théâtre, la musique en acte. En vingt ans d’expérience COMPLOT a réalisé 6 albums et participé à de nombreuses compilations (Divine, Rrose selavy, transmusicales, On a Faim, Machina etc...) et s’est affirmé comme le groupe le plus singulier de la scène rennaise.
